3 Events For You This Week
I have 3 events for you this week. This is a huge vacation week because most schools are off for winter break. There are fewer events scheduled as a result. While we don’t have a lot scheduled, what we do have is a lot of fun.
This weekend we have a birthday bash for George and world premier play. Monday night is really something special too so let’s get to it.
George Washington’s Birthday
This is something you do not want to miss. It’s a birthday celebration for George Washington this Sunday at Historic New Bridge Landing (1201 Main St, River Edge). You’ll really enjoy this because you’ll see Revolutionary characters come to life including George Washington himself. All aftemernoon from 1 through 4:30 you’ll have a series of fun events. Want to see Revolutionary soldiers from the 3rd Regiment and local Colonists? How about a musical program with a fiddle and dulcimer? Then come on out for George Washington’s birthday celebration at Historic New Bridge Landing this Sunday. Tickets are reasonable at $12.30 for adults, $7.30 students and free for members.
Off Broadway Premier of 1+1
Eric Bogosian is an award winning playwright, actor and novellist. The Black Box Performing Arts Center in Englewood has produced Mr. Bogosian’s plays over the years. Now Black Box, together with The Soho Playhouse, is hosting the Off Broadway World Premier of 1+1 by Mr. Bogosian. 1+1 is a new drama that touches on adult themes. As a result, tickets are for age 17 and older; performances begin Thursday night. Because of the adult themes, to get the details please click on this link .
Fair Lawn’s 13th Annual Taste Of Our Town
The Fair Lawn Chamber of Commerce is having it’s 13th annual Taste Of Our Town this coming Monday night. While I’ve been focused on weekend events, I don’t want you to miss this one because it’s terrific.
Taste of Our Town is a multi-cultural smorsgasboard of foods from local restaurants. This represents the diversity of Fair Lawn’s population and it’s all very delicious.
Tickets are $25 if you buy then online. If you buy a ticket at the door, it’s $35. Because not everyone can do things online, the Chamber has help for you. Just call Toni at 201-796-7050 or email at info@fairlawnchamber.org Since this is a fund raising event for Fair Lawn’s food pantry, you can get a great meal while feeling good about contributing.
3 Events and More
These are the 3 events for you. Don’t forget that there’s still several others going on. The Bergen County Players proiduction of The Play That Went Wrong, Campgaw Mountain and Winter Wonderland are all available this weekend too. No matter which one you choose, you’re going to have a good time!
