Tenafly Street Fair and Craft Show

Because it’s Tenafly, people pay attention.  Tenafly NJ is one of the most prominent Bergen County communities.  It’s street fairs attract tens of thousands.  They are kicking off the spring season with a spectacular street fair and craft show.  Location is the entire downtown business district from 11 am to 5 pm on Saturday and Sunday.  Tenafly has top rated restaurants as well as a diner.  Why not go out to eat as well?

Scapin By Moliere

Scapin is a 3 act play by the French playwright, Moliere.  It’s a comedy as well as a bit of a mystery play.  Because it is, this play has sometimes been called Scapin The Schemer.  Bergen Stages is putting on this amusing production opening this weekend.  It opens this Friday night and runs for several nights through next weekend.  Tickets are ordered on line.  While we have a lot of live theater going on in Bergen County, it’s rare to have a classic work by Moliere.  As a result, you won’t want to miss this production!

Ani Kalayjian and Carriage House Concerts

Ani Kalayjian is the artistic director for the Woman’s Club of Englewood.  Because she is a talented and award winning musician herself, she gives concerts all over the US and the world.  Recently she has been doing a series of Carriage House Concerts at the clubhouse.  Because the building was originally a carriage house, she calls her concert series Carriage Concerts.

Due to Covid, concert schedules have been cut back.  However she’s back with a wonderful event featuring music from popular to classical music.  Tickets are only $25 and those under 18 are free.  If my son was a little boy, I’d bring him because this would be a wonderful way to introduce him to a whole other world of music.  Order your tickets online.

Guided Nature Walk at the Tenafly Nature Center

The Tenafly Nature Center has a guided nature walk this weekend for you.  These nature walks are guided by an environmental expert who teaches you about our natural habitat.  It’s great exercise, fun and a wonderful learning experience.  So get yourself registered for your nature walk this Sunday.

Cleopatra and Model Trains

Don’t forget that we have 2 more very popular events running this weekend too.  The Donald Cooper Museum of model trains is open every Saturday from 1-4.  In addition, the Black Box theater production of The Cleopatra Club is still running this weekend.
