There’s lot’s to do this weekend in Bergen County. We are a big County with 930,000 people. As a result, there’s always something happening.
Ridgewood Car Show
The Ridgewood Chamber Of Commerce Annual Car Show is back. Cancelled last year due to Covid, it’s happening Friday night (Sept 10) from 6 to 10 pm. Cars will be on dislay at Van Neste Square Memorial Park in the center of Ridgewood’s business district.
Ridgewood has an unbelievably big buusiness district. It’s actually the largest of of all Bergen County towns, It’s also well known for so many fabulous restaurants too. Because of this, how about making a day of it? Why not shop in the afternoon, take in the vintage cars and then go out to dinner? Sounds like a great idea to me!
Bergenstock Music Festival
The 1st annual Bergen Stock Music Festival is Sunday (Sept 12) from 1 to 6:30 pm it’s going to be non-stop music covering 1950’s rock & roll to soul music. Both students and faculty from Bergen Community College are the headliners. This is going to be a great outdoor concert because everyone is extremely talented. Location is the Overpeck County Park Amphitheater at 40 Fort Lee Road in Leonia. Bring some lawn chairs too.
Carnival at the Teaneck Armory 
Carnivals are fun and this one is a classic, old fashioned version. Sponsored by St Anthony Orthodox Church in Bergenfield, this will take you back to your youth.
Located on the large Armory front lawn, you’ll find everything you expect. Times are Friday-Saturday (Sept 10-11) from 6 to 11 pm and Sunday (Sept 12) 4-9 pm. Since this is a true carnival, you’ll find loads of rides, cotton candy and food stands.
1950’s Concert
Because the doo wop sound is popular across multiple generations, this concert will attract a large crowd. Kevin Grace is giving a 1 man doo wop show on Friday (Sept 10) from 5:30 to 9 pm. Mr Grace has had rave reviews as a performer. As a result, this is going to be a great concert.
Put on by St Leo’s Parish, this outdoor concert is held at the Church grounds at 324 Market St in Elmwood Park.
Vazquez Circus
While there’s lot’s going on this weekend, I bet you didn’t expect a circus. A circus is most definitely happening at the Garden State Plaza Friday and Saturday 2-8 pm (Sept 10-11). The Vazquez Family have been performing circuses for 50 years. They will actually be on tour here through the 27th Purchase tickets online.
Half Marathon & 5K Runs
Starting and ending at the Gardent State Plaza, there are these 2 runs on Sunday (Sept 12). You pickup your packet at the Racefaster store at the Garden State Plaza. Registration ends on Friday (Sept 10). Details and registration are online.

As you can see, there’s lot’s to do this weekend. That’s true every weekend in Bergen County. In addition to the above, don’t forget out County Parks. Bergen County Parks have so much to offer. Because of Ida, you should check the website to make sure where you’re going is open.
