the englewood farmer's marketIt’s that time of year again when farmers bring their fresh produce, baked goods and some hand made items to Englewood each week on Fridays from ll am through 8 pm..  The Englewood farmer’s market opens June 21st and ends on October 25th.

Whether you own an Englewood home or are just passing through, stop by the corner of Demarest Ave and Van Brunt on Friday’s to see what delicious offerings you’ll find.  There’s nothing better than farm fresh produce unless, of course, you have a farm yourself in the back yard of your Englewood home!

Be careful driving by because an ice cream truck often stops as well.  As a result, you have to be wary of children running to the ice cream truck.  Children can play in the park while you shop at the farmer’s market.  The playground is right next to where the farmer’s display their produce.

There is, of course, what you’d expect – plenty of fresh vegetables and fruit.  There’s also home made breads of all varieties and pies.  A bee keeper brings fresh honey and another vendor has all sorts of jams and jelly.  Sometimes you’ll find a crafts person too but most often it’s fresh produce and bottled jams, jelly and pickles too.

Farmer’s markets have become increasingly popular over the years because people realize the value of fresh produce.  Come on over to the Englewood farmer’s market.  You will have a fun time and come home with loads of good things!
